It has now been three years since I graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary, but I simply wanted to offer another word of thanks for the financial support that I received from the Stegall Seminary Scholarship Foundation. I am presently serving as the associate pastor at Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Auburn where Rusty Hutson is the senior pastor. I am now transitioning to lead a second site of our church in an effort to reach more people in the north Auburn Area.
As I take this next step in leading the church, I keep remembering the season of preparation I had at Asbury. While it was a significant time of forming my theology, an even greater work of building my faith happened during that time. The faithful financial support that I received on a regular basis from the Stegall Seminary Scholarship Foundation was a tremendous part of that formation. These much needed funds met a practical need, but they also allowed a much deeper work to happen in me. I learned a new way to depend on God and trust in His leading, when the way ahead seemed uncertain.
Please know how grateful I am to have received this scholarship. It has played a very significant role in my life and ministry. I would also want you to know that donors to this Foundation are having a tremendous impact in advancing the Kingdom of God!” -
