Steve and Olivia Poole Reneau were recipients of Stegall Seminary Scholarships during their three years at Candler School
of Theology at Emory University. Steve was reared in the First United Methodist Church of Wetumpka, Ala., and Olivia was reared in the First United Methodist Churches of Greenville and Montgomery, Ala. Steve is now serving as pastor of the Verbena United Methodist Church, and Olivia is serving as the associate pastor at the First United Methodist Church of Prattville. They, along with the churches they serve, have been very generous supporters of our Scholarship Foundation. Reflecting upon their seminary journey, the Reneaus write, “We would like to thank all who supported us with their prayers, letters, and gifts while we attended Emory. We cannot begin to express how important it is for a seminary student to feel a connection to their annual conference. We are very much aware that so many donors like you have partnered with us in this journey. For this we will be eternally grateful.”
