"Despite all of the changes all around us, the mission of our Foundation is very simple and clear."Karl K. Stegall
Dr. Karl K. Stegall - One of the most fascinating cities in all of the world is Ephesus, located in present day Turkey. The Apostle Paul spent three years in Ephesus, more than any other place in his missionary journeys. When he came near the end of his life and found himself a prisoner in Rome, Paul took out his pen and wrote a letter to the Ephesians in which he included these words, “It was He who gave some to be APOSTLES, some to be PROPHETS, some to be EVANGELISTS, and some to be PASTORS AND TEACHERS to prepare God’s people for works of service”. (Ephesians 4:11)
Our Scholarship Foundation takes very seriously that it is God “who gave some to be PASTORS, EVANGELISTS, and TEACHERS to prepare God’s people for works of service!” Because we take these words of the Bible very seriously, our Foundation feels that we have a great opportunity and responsibility to nurture, encourage, and provide financial support for those whom God has raised up to be pastors, evangelists and teachers.
Since the inception of our Scholarship Foundation, you have faithfully partnered with us as individuals, churches, and Sunday School Classes. In addition, we received in the mail recently a check in the amount of $5,500 from the United Methodist Women at First United Methodist Church of Prattville. is great gift came as a result of their Cheese Ball Sale during the month of December. We also received a total of $6,000 from the Lillian United Methodist Church, 1/3 of which came from the Men’s Club Car Show, 1/3 came from the Women’s Trash and Treasure Sale, and 1/3 came from the miscellaneous mission offering of the Lillian United Methodist Church.
Despite all of the changes all around us, the mission of our Foundation is very simple and clear: We are committed to continuing to support those whom God raises up “to prepare God’s people for works of service”. Thanks for partnering with us in this Godly mission effort!
