At the "Dinner of Celebration" the Foundation Board of Directors inaugurated a “Bishop Paul A. Duffey, Sr. Award” for Clergy Excellence. The award will be presented annually to one of our many former scholarship recipients serving in ordained ministry who exemplifies the excellence with which Bishop Duffey served the church. 
The inaugural award was presented to Dr. David R. Saliba. The Rev. Dr. David R. Saliba is in his first year as Senior Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Dothan, AL. He has served Perdido Bay United Methodist Church, First United Methodist Church in Greenville, AL, and First United Methodist Church in Montgomery, AL. David and his wife, Elizabeth, have three beautiful children, Joseph, age 8, Grace, age 5, and Jacob, age 1.
David’s 16 years of ministry in the United Methodist Church has included many new professions of faith, and he has led the congregations which he has served to grow in worship attendance, membership, missional outreach, campus facilities, and faith development. His greatest desire in ministry is to help the church achieve its mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Congratulations to David!
